Kassettlansering i Bulgarien?

I remember that one of the first interviews that I did for Music Extreme was with Robban Kanto, guitarist from the band Azure. Well, I have received this tape from one of his bands called Relentless, where Robban plays bass. The tape has four tracks and the music that Relentless does is the most bestial grind/gore with extremely fast riffs, blast beats and guttural vocals. (to compare to a band, I would say that they are in the same vein as Reprobation): I liked a lot some of the more crushing riffs and some of the riffs that are in places where there is a drum break. There is also a riff in the first song "Kicked Down and Hacked up" that is an unison between guitar and bass that sounds really interesting.

The sound is good, maybe the hihat is a little bit in the front in the mix, and that turns a little bit chaotic the tracks. The lyrics are a catalog of rotten bodies and vowels, with titles as "Experiment in Excrement, "Spinal Leucotomy" or "Luscious Discharge of Fetid Defecation".

MetalWire #5.

Mr Kanto, who’s usually keeping himself occupied with his own Serenity magazine as well as Metalwire magazine, can do more than layout. He’s also handling the four-string axe in the death metal squad Relentless, and he does that really well. It is quite clear that the majority of their inspiration comes from the US-scene, which means that the music is brutal as hell and the vocals are of the deep and growling kind.

That is when Kanto himself isn’t doing his hysterical screams. As with the music, the lyrics too are dealing with brutality. You can read about semen, urine, dismemberment, vomiting, anuses and more blood than you can take…you know, all the nice stuff. This is a good one.
